The Exploritorium is an ongoing project using sound to construct synesthetic architecture. Synesthesia is an overlapping of the senses where one sense stimulates an experience in another sense. The experience of sound provokes a sense of moving shapes. In The Exploritorium, sounds develop shapes that link together to create space. The images here show some of the layouts of the spaces and objects discovered in The Exploritorium.
