Timothy B. Layden

EarlySynesthesia Paintings

My experience of synesthesia has always had a strong influence on how I see things. The link between sound, shape and movement are fundamental. Even before I began developing a deeper understanding of synesthesia I was sharing my experiences with others through visual art. Here is a sample of works from my earliest paintings done while I was living in Mexico, to more recent works done while I was researching synesthesia in art at the University of Barcelona.
